THE Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has launched an initiative to reduce the time and costs borne by small businesses when dealing with the tax authorities.
ACCA will work with businesses and the government to develop a pilot scheme linking firms' accounting software packages to the revenue departments' computer systems. The scheme will allow transactions to be recorded only once.
