THE sun shone down on Horwich as hundreds of youngsters flocked to the town for a fun day.
Organised by the Brazley Residents Association, the event was held at Play Park, Ainsworth Avenue on Sunday.
Children enjoyed activities including face painting, stalls, stocks, magicians and a pie-shaped bouncy castle.
Chairman of the association, George Platt said: "It was a great day. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
"We did something similar when the park first opened last year and hope to make it an annual event."
Money raised from the day will go towards buying furniture for the area's new community centre, which is due to open in July.
