JANE Tomlinson is the remarkable 40-year-old from Leeds who is currently on a tandem ride with her brother Luke on Mont Ventoux, South-east France.
She's raising money for four different charities and has been cycling an average of 60 miles a day since May 3.
Jane has terminal cancer. She has already run marathons for charity, and plainly refuses to give in to the illness without a fight.
In a powerful poem, Dylan Thomas wrote about death "Do not go gently into that sweet night... Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
Jane Tomlinson is doing just that. She epitomises every kind of fighting spirit, and makes the rest of us feel ashamed of moaning about everyday ailments.
