BOLTON Sinfonietta will be flying high for their next concert -- which carries a bird theme.

The evening, at Bolton School Arts' Centre this Saturday, begins with Vaughan Williams' musical interpretation of The Lark Ascending, played by violinist and guest conductor David Greed.

The orchestra will then perform Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, loosely based on the set of children's stories, followed by Bizet's Symphony in C Major.

Conductor and guest soloist will be David Greed, leader of the Orchestra of Opera North, who has appeared with most of the professional orchestras in Britain.

His career has taken him all over the world, including most recently a tour of the US and visits to Kazakhstan, where he was invited to be principal guest conductor with its National Symphony Orchestra.

The concert starts at 7.30pm. The venue has refreshments, parking and full disabled access. Tickets are £7 for adults and £5 concessions, and can be booked on 01204 334400 or purchased at the door.
