Pictures:
Top - Five former pupils of Turton County Secondary School are pictured in April, 1966, preparing a meal at their Easter weekend camp site near the Belmont to Rivington Road. The boys, from Bromley Cross and Bradshaw, were, from left, David Liles, Raymond Speak, Steven Wilson, Stephen Kershaw and Leslie Jolley.
Bottom - In August, 1979, around 400 people gathered for the fourth free pop festival at Deeply Vale, near Bury. These campers were pictured enjoying a cup of tea in the picturesque valley which forms a perfect amphitheatre for the event.
