A JUNIOR football team from Bolton have become victims of their own success after five of their players signed for professional club academy sides.
Eagley Rangers Orange under-eights, of the Bolton, Bury and District Mini League, will disband at the end of this season after more than half of their nine-strong squad were snapped up. Umar Chadat, from Astley Bridge, and Ashley Fletcher, Thomas Healey and Harvey Booth, all from Sharples, have joined Wanderers' junior set-up, while Thomas Kilgore, from Farnworth, has joined Huddersfield Town.
Before the end of this season, the team - unbeaten in 25 competitive matches this season and the new Section A champions - will aim to win the Mini-League Cup by beating Bromley Cross Aces at the Reebok Stadium on May 22.
