SUPPORT has been given to Tesco's Middlebrook store for two advertising boards outside the main entrance.
Bosses at the Mansell Way supermarket in Horwich also applied for two rotating signs to be positioned near the main road but highways officers warned that they would be a distraction to drivers.
Horwich town councillors followed the advice of planning officers and gave their support to the plan for static signs with the condition that the rotating signs were withdrawn.
