A FRONT bedroom of a house in Whitefield was wrecked on Saturday night.
Firefighters believe a carelessly discarded cigarette caused the blaze at Steadmoor Road, Whitefield, setting fire to clothes on the floor.
Three people -- two men and one woman -- suffered the effects of smoke but declined hospital treatment.
