THESE pictures were taken at Edgworth Methodist Church in January, 1969.
A special service was held to mark the centenary of the National Children's Home.
Children from the Edgworth home, which was founded in 1872, led the singing. The service was conducted by the Rev FA Andrews.
It became Crowthorn School in 1952 and looked after children with special educational needs until it closed its doors on July 27, 2002, because of increasing financial and staffing pressures.
