GARY Doherty believes Spurs can travel to the Reebok tomorrow confident that they have stopped the rot that was threatening to drag them into the Premiership drop zone.
After a strong start to the new year, David Pleat's side had managed just one win in six games before they came from behind to rescue a draw with Manchester City at White Hart Lane on Monday.
And while they were not entirely happy with just a point, defender Doherty says Jermain Defoe's equaliser could spark an end of season flourish.
"It was a relief because recently we have been really struggling to score goals," he said. "To get the all-important goal and stop the run of defeats was important for us.
"It is hard when you get into a rut and it is up to the team now to really pull ourselves round and we need to start picking up a few points - we want to get to the 45-47 point mark."
