ROLL up, roll up... a theatre in Bolton is offering young people the chance to become a clown later this month with the start of a six week circus workshop.

The Phoenix Theatre has a limited number of places for the course where people will learn the art of clowning around.

Krusty the Clown students will learn the tricks of the trade from juggling, spinning plates and unicycling through to balancing on a tightrope and walking on stilts.

The course is open to people aged between eight and over and will also focus on teambuilding and group work.

The course at the Bark Street theatre has already attracted a great deal of interest with just ten places left to fill.

Craig Harris, arts development officer at the theatre, said: "Circus skills are accessible to everybody and now the circus has come to Bolton."

The sessions will start at 4.30 - 6.00pm on April 29 and costs £15.

People are advised to book immediately to avoid disappointment. For more information contact Craig on 01204 535861 or 01204 363357, or email Drop a line...craig@drama workshop.co.uk.
