IN response to your report about First Group bus services.
Governments have allowed public transport to deteriorate and I doubt that any of our councillors or MPs ever use it.
It is vital to the infrastructure of this country, but is neglected. Do any of our governing bodies really care? Privatisation was a big mistake. First Group are the best example of this. They are quick enough to raise their bus fares a few times yearly. The way they treat their staff is abysmal.
Public services should stay in public hands. Private companies just want profit and more profit. Service and treatment of staff are secondary to this. Give us back our bus service!
