BOLTON is to host the North West Business Environment Awards 2004 later this month.

Three Greater Manchester businesses have been short-listed for the awards, due to take place at the Reebok Stadium on April 23, in recognition of their environmental and business excellence.

The awards will be hosted by Mersey Basin Campaign and the North West Development Agency, and aim to celebrate buinesses which manage to combine successful production with sound environmental practice.

The awards are supported by the Environment Agency, Envirolink North West, ENWORKS and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) North West.

Trafford Council for their Sale Waterside Development, Manchester-based Gentronix and the Commissions in the Environment (CITE) for the Irwell Sculpture Trail have beaten over a hundred entries to reach the final judging stage.

The winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony at the Reebok Stadium, Horwich, on Friday April 23.
