THE National Heart Research Fund is still looking for energetic readers to take part in this year's Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for research into heart disease.
The event, on June 19, takes walkers through the three highest peaks in Yorkshire - Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, covering more than 26 miles of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Anyone who would like more information contact the Heart Research team on 0113 234 7474 or e-mail: Drop a line...fundraising@heart research.org.uk.
The challenge element lies in finishing the marathon course in under 12 hours, although less experienced walkers can tackle just one or two peaks.
Last year's event was attended by more than 500 walkers and raised £60,000 to fund medical research and health promotion projects dedicated to the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease.
