A REMEMBRANCE event is being held in Bolton to mark 60 years since the D-Day landings.
The Bolton Information Network is celebrating the anniversary by bringing together artefacts, memorabilia and displays to create a picture of the turning point in the Second World War.
As well as the displays, visitors will be able to use the BBC GMR Bus to access the internet and try out computer skills.
Memorabilia has been supplied by veterans' organisations, libraries, Bolton Museum, Farnworth and Halliwell local history societies, users of the UCAN centres and archives.
The event will follow the present Bolton Revisited display in Bolton Museum, which runs until April 30, and has a range of articles and images taken from the experiences of D-Day and the Second World War.
Anyone who cannot visit the displays on June 3 will be able to see it between May 28 and June 8 at the Network's UCAN Centre, Hatfield Road, Halliwell.
