DISABLED children and their parents now have their own oasis, following the opening of a state-of-the-art care centre.
Rainbow House, on Trackside, Westhoughton, will offer overnight stays for up to four children at a time in a purpose-built facility which provides everything from en-suite bedrooms to a fully accessible kitchen.
There they will be able to take advantage of everything from Playstations and DVDs to homework tables.
The centre is the result of a partnership between Bolton Council's Social Services Department and Bolton Primary Care Trust. Cllr Madeline Murray, executive member for social services and health, said: "It's absolutely ideal and everybody loves its homely, welcoming atmosphere."
