EGERTON have moved swiftly to bring four new players to the club for the new Bolton League cricket season which begins a week on Saturday.
Pace bowler Ian Taylor, wicketkeeper Rick Northrop and batsman Nigel Partington have all left Tonge to move to Egerton, while Anis Patel has joined the club from Astley Bridge.
In other moves, wicketkeeper Paul Blinkhorn has left Little Lever for Greenmount, Little Lever's Simon Harrison has gone to Horwich and Steve Kenny has moved to Westhoughton from Horwich.
The draw for the first round of the Bolton Cricket League's Lyddon Trophy first round is:
Heaton v Egerton, Eagley v Walkden (holders), Astley Bridge v Farnworth, Little Lever v Bradshaw.
The other six clubs have not entered. Matches to be played by arrangement between the clubs concerned. Four winners go forward to the semi-finals and final at Little Lever on September 19.
