A FORMER Boltonian is keen to trace old friends from Markland Hill County Primary School in the early 1960s.
Pat Ransome (nee Salter) has written from Chester with this photograph - taken in summer 1960 or 61 during a school trip to Lyme Park and the Peak District.
Mrs Ransome says the teacher was Mr Calderbank and she can name several of those in the picture, but has not kept in contact with any of them.
"Having trained at Chester College, I settled in the Chester area where we brought up our family," she says.
"I still return to Bolton on a regular basis and often wonder what happened to friends past.
"I search faces when in town but we must all change, as I have not once seen anyone I can recall."
Pat, who spent her childhood years at West Morelands, Chorley New Road, Heaton, now lives at Rivington, 10 Priory Close, Penyffordd, Chester, CH4 0JB.
She is pictured, far right, on the front row.
