THERE is a great opportunity for dancers to take part in a top competition at the Palace Theatre, Manchester.

Dance 2004 is inviting dance schools to submit performers for the competition which will be judged by a panel of professionals in Manchester on May 16.

After four successful years at the Liverpool Empire, the Dance competition was produced for the first time in Manchester last year with Wayne Sleep, acting as Principal Judge. Other judges have included Bonnie Langford and Lionel Blair.

It's an opportunity for all dance and theatre schools from across the UK to get together to compete for what are described as the "biggest trophies in the world of dance" and also work alongside many of the top names in entertainment.

Because of the competition's popularity, all the sections fill up very fast so schools are advised to register now if they wish to compete.

The categories are: juvenile/junior and senior with trophies for first to fourth places.
