BLACKPOOL Airport has broken passenger records with the busiest year since it started operating 95 years ago, it has been revealed.
More than 200,000 passengers have flown in and out of the airport in the past 12 months.
This has been helped by a new daily link with London, which has also brought thousands of revellers up to the resort from the South.
More than 213,000 passengers used the terminal's holiday and commuter services, and a further 23,000 travelled on helicopters to offshore gas rigs.
