DAMIEN Smith scored seven goals - including six in 25 minutes - as Bolton Ambassadors won 9-2 at Bury GSOB in the Lancashire Amateur League cup quarter-finals.
Two down after 15 minutes, Bolton were level by half-time thanks to a Matt Taylor header and the first of Smith's haul.
Smith second in the 56th minute opened the floodgates, and Ambassadors took control.
Andy Bentley completed the rout with five minutes to go, when he broke free from the halfway line to slot the ball under the keeper for Ambassadors' ninth - but all the talk afterwards was about Smith.
Simon Murphy, Ambassadors' manager, said: "You usually get to take the match ball home for a hat-trick, but I think Damo deserves to take the nets and corner flags as well for this performance."
