A FESTIVAL to showcase the talents of Bolton's young artists is being held this summer.
The first Bolton Youth Arts Festival will feature all aspects of performing art - from circus workshops, photography and music through to exhibitions and displays.
The eight-day festival in August will be held at The Phoenix Theatre in Bark Street as part of the Bolton Arts Festival.
It will be aimed at people aged five to 25 and theatre bosses want to hear from anyone who has any ideas for the event.
Craig Harris, of The Phoenix, said: "The project has caused a great deal of excitement for everyone involved. This is going to be a large scale event which we hope to run every year."
Mr Harris wants to hear from young people who are looking for a place to exhibit their art, artists willing to help with exhibitions, and displays from photographers, dancers, actors, musicians and sculptors.
