THE landlady of an Egerton pub says that Bolton may be changing its drinking habits after the popularity of a wine tasting evening at the drinking spot.
Around 60 people have booked places for Wednesday night's wine and cheese evening at the Dunscar Arms on Darwen Road. Landlady Rebecca Holt says she has had to turn people away from the event, which was organised as an experiment.
She said: "We thought we'd just test the poularity of it, and I never expected this many people.
Mrs Holt believes the popularity of the event may reflect a change in trends in Bolton's drinking habits. She said: "I know there are a lot of people who are interested in wine drinking at home, but I didn't think this many would want to come along.
