FURTHER to your report that the Mimesis Community Theatre Group will not be able to perform "Holy Ghosts" on church premises because it contains foul language.
I am astonished that they ever imagined that they could do so.
Your paper constantly headlines bad behaviour in condemnatory terms.
To suggest, as you do in your Comment column, that the reaction of the minister at the Victoria Hall is extreme, is beyond belief. The Victoria Hall is a superb concert hall, and the Walker Suite offers first class facilities for small productions. It is, however, first and foremost a church.
To expect, as the theatre group did, that they could use such premises to mirror low life is incredible. To gain the support of your editorial Comment is, we suggest, totally wrong.
