TOP darts players John Lowe, right, and Cliff Lazarenko were in local action when they played in the qualifying rounds of the Budweiser UK Open Darts Championship.
The two were in action at the Bull's Head, Walkden, when they were among the main attractions in a competition that attracted many of the country's top players.
Overall, eight regional finals are being played, and as in last year's inaugural event, the top 128 money earners from them will qualify for the televised finals to be staged at the Reebok Stadium, from June 4-6. It will be live on Sky Sports.
Both Lowe, who is 93rd in the earnings list, and Lazarenko, who is 64th, will qualify for the final stages at the reebok.
Around 250 players were in action at four pubs throughout Greater Manchester. The final was won by Mark Robinson, who picked up his first PDC title following a convincing 2-0 victory over Mark Dudbridge.
