Bolton Sunday League: HOLDERS Tonge Moor Cons Club breezed into the semi-finals of the Open Cup with a 7-0 away win at Division One leaders Ladybridge.

Clint McLoughlin scored a hat-trick, with two from Neil Ross and one each from Shaun Kinsella and Roy Fletcher.

In the other quarter-final, Horwich Vic beat local rivals Greenwood 2-0 thanks to two goals from Craig Conway.

In an outstanding game in the second round, Britannia Farnworth and Bottom Bull fought out a nine goal thriller as Britannia edged home 5-4. New dad James Hark helped himself to two goals with Wallbank, Aldred and Roy Fletcher scoring one each.

Bowling Green took advantage of being involved in the only Premier League game to take over top spot for the first time this season. Dave Liversedge and Rob Owen scored to clinch the points over Queens.

Clifton Rangers went to Smithills in Division One and came away with a 3-1 win, thanks to Garry French with two and Tony Cooper, while Chris Spackman scored for the losers.

Arkwrights stayed in second spot with a 6-1 home win against Greenfield. Chris Tolliday scored three, with Ross Ryder, Warren Quinlan and Ian Oldfield one each, while Chris Broad scored for Greenfields.

In the remaining Division One game, Fox and Stork had to work hard to beat Pied Piper 3-2 at Smithills. Russell (2) and Foster hit the target for Stork, while Darren Porter Jnr and an own goal acccounted for Pied Piper's score.
