PUPILS from a Farnworth school were put through their paces during a music-packed residential weekend in Shropshire.
The orchestra, from St James's School, together with their conductor and head of music, Barbara Barratt, spent Saturday and Sunday rehearsing for their forthcoming spring concert "Magical Moments".
Up to 53 students, aged 11-16, took part in the annual event, organised in conjunction with the Lucas Road school and Bolton Music Service. The Magical Moments concert will take place on Tuesday, March 23, at the school. Tickets cost £3 for adults and £2 for children.
