The letter by Barbara Smith (Friday, February 20) regarding developments in Home Care is very welcome.
It is terrible that Public Services much valued by members of the community, can be effectually broken up and transferred to the private sector.
Privatisation has been a disaster for the railways and transport. We need to ensure that our local services including care of elderly people do not suffer a similar fate.w
