PEOPLE who are worried about brittle bone disease have the opportunity to have an osteoporosis test in Bolton later this month. Osteoporosis causes thinning of the bones and affects men and women of all ages.
It is known as the silent epidemic and more people, particularly women, die from osteoporosis than some cancers.
The test involves placing a foot in an ultrasound machine which takes a reading.
Patricia Hawes will be at the Esporta fitness centre on Wednesday, March 31, from 10am to 7.30pm. An appointment is £40, and can be made on 01204 360400. Non-members are welcome.
