CONTRACTORS are carrying out repair work to Ainsworth Bridge, Bury Road, at the boundary of Bolton and Bury.
The work includes the reconstruction of the bridge parapet and repairs to the masonry culvert arch and will cost about £90,000.
It will take six weeks to complete. A spokesman for Bolton Council said: "It is unlikely that there will be any traffic disruption during the work. The width of the road will be temporarily reduced but traffic will still be able to travel in each direction."
