WORK is under way on Tomlinson Culvert, Horwich. The drain, which runs underneath Chorley New Road just to the west of its junction with Winter Hey Lane, will be reconstructed and cleared in a £120,000 scheme.
The repairs are expected to take six weeks. Carriageway widths will be reduced and traffic at the junction with Winter Hey Lane will be reduced to a single lane in each direction.
