PURE Productions of Bury is staging a play - For the Love of Bob - written by the company's proprietor Karen Ryder.

The bittersweet comedy will be at The Comedy Store, Manchester, on March 15 and 16, starting at 7.30 pm.

The play follows the lives of the Cooper family after the death of the beloved man in their lives.

It has been a year since Bob died and life stopped being fun.

Through a series of comical flashbacks, the audience sees how the Coopers used to be, including the time a wife discovers her husband in her underwear! Can they let go of their grief and guilt long enough to ensure a future of more bizarre family tales?

Pure Productions have been helped by Bolton Business Venture and Women in Business.

Karen Ryder says: "They have given me encouragement, friendship and have even secured corporate events for my company."

For the Love of Bob has a cast of very experienced actors from the North-west.

Tickets - £7 and £5.50 concessions - are available from Ticketmaster on 08705 932932, tourist information centres and the Comedy Store.
