PAST pupils of a Farnworth primary school are being invited to take a trip down memory lane before their old school moves to a new building.

Queensbridge Primary School in Farnworth is inviting former pupils to have a final tour around its Queen Street building before it moves to a new site in St Germain Street at the end of the month.

On Friday, March 12, former pupils will be treated to a walk around the building by Year Six pupils during the morning and afternoon. Visitors are being asked to avoid lunchtime.

Headteacher Sheila Holland said: "If any past pupils want to come and look around the old building before it closes they are more than welcome to."

Last September Queen Street Primary School and Bridgewater Nursery merged together to become Queensbridge.

Currently, they are still continuing in their respective buildings.

From March 29 Queensbridge pupils will all be taught together in a brand new £2.5 million state-of-the-art building, which will include seven classrooms, a library and a computer room.
