AN RSPCA campaigner is appealing for help in rehousing 24 rabbits rescued from a house in Farnworth.
The charity recovered the rabbits last week after the owner contacted them because she was struggling to cope.
The woman bought the domestic rabbits - believing they were the same sex, but a few months later she was overwhelmed by the number of animals.
The rabbits are currently being looked after by foster carers - but Bolton RSPCA branch administrator Kathy Kay said they are desperately looking to rehome the pets.
She said that adult rabbits have been neutered and now she wants pet lovers to come forward and give them a loving home.
She said: "We are looking for people with adequate accommodation for rabbits. They should have a rabbit hutch and a place for them to run. Rabbits are social animals and we want to rehome them in pairs."
Interested people should contact the RSPCA on 521160 or 578020.
