CHORLEY picked up three potentially priceless points from this visit to Humberside to move closer to the promotion threshold in the UniBond First Division.

Chorley went ahead on six minutes when Ian Barker headed back across goal for Danny Queeley to slide the ball under the keeper.

It could have been 2-0 soon afterwards when Andy Mason's shot on the turn hit a post.

But slack work at the back allowed North Ferriby to equalise on 29 minutes through Gary Bradshaw.

The Magpies, however, continued to look dangerous going forward and a sublime chip into the far corner of the net by Mason from wide on the left restored their lead seconds before half-time.

A superbly-worked goal on 70 minutes ought to have wrapped up the points for the Magpies. Danny Mills held the ball up well for Queeley, who slipped past two defenders before rolling a pass across the edge of the box for Eatock to drive it firmly into the net.

But North Ferriby were not finished and pulled a goal back with five minutes to go when Carl Fothergill's deep centre was returned into the goalmouth by Bradshaw and Paul Farley slid in to score.
