Bolton Table Tennis League: HILTON A have jumped to the top of the Premier Division following their 8-1 demolition of Lostock.
Rammy A drop to second but have two matches in hand. Hilton Tameside, who are in third spot, scraped home 5-4 against lowly Mosses A, which included an excellent treble by Paul Cicchelli for the losers.
Nomads A are well adrift at the bottom of the table following their 9-0 defeat by Hilton B. Wharton A scored a 5-4 win over Cricketers and Rammy B beat Horwich Hilton 6-3.
The only change at the top of Division One is that Wharton B jump to third place at the expense of Mosses who are now down to fourth.
The Wharton team scored an emphatic 7-2 win at Carlton, while Mosses lost to top team Ladybridge A 8-1. Trebles in these two matches by Duncan Hadfield for Wharton, and Dave Bolton and Eddie Simon for Ladybridge.
The two bottom teams both lost 5-4, YMCA losing at Heaton A and Little Lever C to visitors Wingates, bottom team YMCA are four points adrift with a match in hand at this time.

Rushtons won 5-4 with top Division Two team BEN A, the win moves Rushtons up to second place, nine points adrift of the leaders.
Heaton C are now third on the strength of their 8-1 win over bottom team Halliwell Meths which included three wins by Stephen Barber and Chris Higson.
Nomads B won 5-4 at Heaton D despite a treble by Duncan Kay for Heaton, and Meadow Hill A scored a 6-3 win over Little Lever D, Mark Martin winning the three Little Lever sets.
The Division Three title race remains very close and is sure to go to the wire, with only two points separating the two top teams Hilton E and Ramsbottom C. While Hilton E were winning 8-1 on their visit to their H team, the Rammy team marginally lost ground with a 7-2 win at Bolton YMCA. Trebles here by Siful Kahan and Dave Marland for Hilton, and John Taylor for Ramsbottom.
Hilton F, in third place, came back from 4-2 down to beat Hilton G 5-4.
Ladybridge D are one point behind Division Four leaders Hilton F although they have played one more match. This week they lost to visitors Hilton K 6-3 for whom Jason Gandhi scored three wins. Heaton G won by the same scoreline against Hilton L, with Stan Wilson winning the three sets for the losers.
The Hilton Centre annual general meeting is to be held at the centre on Friday at 7.30pm. The centre committee has drawn up a new constitution for which they will be seeking approval, one of the more radical proposals is that the centre be run on an independent basis and not under the umbrella of the league. Interested parties are invited to attend.
