BOLTON is to receive a £10,000 funding boost to develop music lessons in primary schools.
The government wants musicians and teachers to build up innovative partnerships so they can creat first class musical experiences for childen, as part of a new drive to enhance music provision.
School Standards Minister David Miliband stressed the important role music plays in raising standards in primary schools during a speech at a festival of children's music-making at the Barbican.
