TWO young men were killed and a third was seriously injured in a car crash in Anderton early on Saturday.
The car was travelling along Roscoe Lowe Brow when it lost control and careered off the road at 2.30am.
Two men were pronounced dead at the scene and the injured man taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where he was said to be in a critical condition.
Firemen had to be called to cut the bodies free from the wreckage.
Police said on Saturday the driver had been identified as Martin Clifford Cartwright, of Carwood Grove, Horwich.
The rear passenger was Byron Colin Hudson, of Brown Lowe Road, Bolton.
The front passenger who was thrown from the car into a field has been named as 16-year-old Matthew Cartwright from Bolton.
He was taken to the intensive care unit at Bolton Hospital with serious head and leg injuries and is said to be in a critical condition.
