A MEMORIAL service at Manchester Airport on Friday will celebrate the life of one of the airport's most popular workers.
John Courtney, aged 47, from Atherton, died suddenly in March, and a plaque was to be placed in the airport to honour his 19 years at the airport.
John, who lived in Macclesfield but originally comes from Atherton, worked at the airport as a customer services supervisor.
Airport Chaplain, Reverend Mike Vincer, said: "The plaque will record that John was a highly valued colleague and a friend to many at the airport."
The service was held in the Prayer Room in Terminal 1.
