HAVING read that Bellway want the soon-to-be redundant cricket pitch in Westhoughton, and of the lack of skateboarding facilities in the Bolton area, may I suggest the blindingly obvious?
Turn the cricket pitch into an extreme games park for the dudes of Westhoughton and Bolton.
I mean, it's perfect, and there's a McD's across the road! I'd certainly strongly support such a move, as I'm sure all parents of our young people would.
What we need in Westhoughton as well as other areas is amenities for the young and old alike, not more blasted houses from the perennial Bellway.
Go on, councillors, show your true colours. Are you for amenities, or more money for the Bolton coffers?
