STUDENTS and staff at St Joseph's High School in Horwich are celebrating record GCSE results.
More than 70 per cent of students achieved higher grade passes and every student achieved at least one GCSE pass.
Headteacher Leo Conley said: "It was wonderful to see so many happy students this morning. Our results are a tribute to the hard work of these young people over the past five years, and to the commitment and dedication of the staff at St Joseph's. I just hope that no statements are made nationally that attempt to devalue their achievement. They should be allowed to enjoy their success. So many of them exceeded all expectations."
Eight of these students achieved nine or more Grade A* or A passes, one of these achieving marks in electronic products that were in the top five results across the country.
