LYNX made their customary good start with a try in the third minute from Anton Garcia converted by Mark McCully.

Barrow soon reduced the arrears with a penalty and levelled the score when Andy McClure touched down.

Lynx were far from their best with many unforced errors but they were ahead again in the 18th minute when Chris Campbell and Craig Dean combined to send in Anton Garcia, McCully adding the conversion.

Barrow went ahead when Jamie Smith chased his own kick to touch down but Lynx showed some of their true form as they ran in three tries in six minutes. Chris Newall ran in two tries and Eric Andrews continued his scoring spree with McCully converting all three to leave Lynx16 points in front.

On the stroke of half-time some sloppy play by Lynx gifted possession to Barrow and James King went over for a soft try converted by Adam Pate to leave Lynx with a 10 point advantage at half-time. Lynx dominated the early second half, but they only increased their lead with a McCully penalty in the 46th minute. Three minutes later Craig Dean chased a Mick Coates grubber kick to score.

Lynx were now in control and increased their lead with a try from Mick Redford, with McCully adding a further conversion to seal the game.

Every Lynx attack now threatened the Barrow line and Eric Andrews was next to touch down in the 56th minute as he successfully chased a Jamie Stenhouse kick through.

Barrow put the Lynx defence under some pressure and were rewarded with a try from Stuart Dancer.

Lynx managed a further try from Craig Dean on the final hooter, again converted by Mark McCully.
