A MISSING Chorley schoolgirl has been found seven weeks after she went missing from her home.
Lilly Brooks, 13, was discovered living in a squat near London's Waterloo railway station.
The pupil of Bishop Rawstorne High School, Croston, went missing from outside her home in Dale Close, Parbold, on July 3.
Police initially believed she may have been being forced to work as a prostitute in Manchester.
She returned to Lancashire on Wednesday night (August 20) and is currently in the care of social services while police try to establish how she got to London and if she has been the victim of any crimes since her disappearance.
Her parents Colin and Sharon were said to be 'greatly relieved'.
Chief Inspector Peter White, who led the investigation into her disappearance, said: "We're delighted that Lilly has now been traced and is now safe. We have devoted a great deal of time and energy to finding her and, while our enquiries have focused on the Manchester area, we have kept in close contact with other forces around the country including the Metropolitan Police."
