HAVING lived on Spa Road, Bolton, for more than 20 years, I am concerned and appalled at the state of rubbish being left and thrown over into the River Croal.
The people and residents living in the area don't seem to realise the pollution they are making, and don't seem to care about the mess.
I recently went to a council meeting and made a few valid points about on-the-spot fines for fly tipping. I hope the council will take note.
I would also like parents of the children playing in the street just to ask them not to throw their toffee paper in the street, just to put it in their bin. That's if they have a bin in their house.
