A WHOLE range of voluntary organisations showcased their work at the Bolton Community Network Festival.
Around 40 groups from all around the town hosted stalls in Victoria Square yesterday, as part of the Bolton Festival celebrations.
And there was something for everyone interesting in volunteering, from organic food growing and racial equality groups to spiritual organisations and youth drama workshops.
The stalls were set out in Victoria Square's huge festival marquee, with music provided by singers from the Diversity in Barrier Breaking Communications roadshow.
Peter Sloane, co-ordinator of the Bolton Volunteers Bureau, said: "A lot of people don't realise just how many community organisations there are operating in the town and the work they do.
"Many local groups desperately need volunteers and this sort of event is great for those who would like to give up some time but do not know where to start looking."
