DOZENS of youngsters managed to get themselves up in the air at Bolton Pentecostal Church's weekend street fete despite a hot-air balloon ride being cancelled.
Children tried their hand on the trampoline and queued up to enjoy the bouncy castle. Other attractions included a jungle cafe in the church hall, a fairground waltzer and a surfing simulator.
The event, at the church on Bury Road, was part of their week-long "Street Craze" holiday club.
Organiser Julian Wolstencroft said the scheme, which had attracted up to 130 children each day, had been a success.
He said: "We did the street fete on the back of Street Craze. It was an event for all the community, and we hope everyone enjoyed it. Next time we hope it it will be bigger and better."
