A WOMAN was robbed by two men as she made her way to a bank in Astley Bridge with takings from her workplace.
She was walking towards the Royal Bank of Scotland in Blackburn Road at 11.30am yesterday when she was approached by two men. They grabbed the bag of cash out of her hands and drove off in a red Ford Escort.
One robber is described as Afro-Caribbean, aged about 28, 5ft 9ins, medium build with dreadlocks. He was wearing grey trousers, a round neck top and a ski mask.
The second man was of a similar age, 5ft 6ins, large build, and was wearing a baseball cap. Insp Mark Lee from Bolton Police said: "The woman was not injured but was very shocked."
