FARNWORTH Social Circle have formed a football team for the coming season.
Sponsored by Roy Siddons, who also sponsors the cricket team, they will play in the Bolton Pioneer League.The idea behind the venture is to keep the players together during the winter months, to keep them fit and to bring revenue into the club.
Former 2nd Team captain, Paul Rushton and Paul Barrett are the men behind the plan, and the cricketers who will be involved on the playing side are Rushton himself, Darren Mullineux, lan Edwards, Andy Whitton, Chris Walsh, Carl Glover, Matt Parkinson, Chris and Tim Barrow and Steve Roberts.
