THE controversial Sellafield nuclear power station is switching from reprocessing to clean-up activities, it was reported today.
The British Nuclear Fuels-owned plant would be converted into a waste-handling operation, The Guardian newspaper has been told.
Brian Watson, director of the Cumbrian site, said: "There is £30 billion worth of clean-up work here. We are switching from reprocessing to clean-up. We hope that will be seen in a more positive light."
