FURIOUS Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside has sent a £200 bill to Blackburn Rovers, after an incident involving the club's doctor and a dressing room door.

Mr Gartside has claimed Blackburn Rovers doctor' Phil Batty damaged the door towards the end of Saturday's match at the Reebok Stadium and has sent a bill for the damage to Rovers chairman Robert Coar.

The incident followed the sending off of Rovers left winger Steven Reid for a late tackle on Bolton substitute Stelio Giannakopoulos.

Reid had been on the pitch for 11 minutes when he was shown the red card by referee Andy D'Urso with just two minutes of normal time remaining.

Mr Batty accompanied Reid down the tunnel to the dressing room, but the door was locked. Bolton Wanderers say the doctor then forced it open.

Mr Gartside said today: "It's not the damage which upsets me, it's the principle.

"I approached the doctor straight away. He offered me no apology and just said the door was locked. Blackburn told me to send them the bill and I have done."

Bolton drew 2-2 in front of a record 27,423 crowd. Mr Batty was unavailable for comment.
